The process to form a National Youth Platform begins with Youth Action Summits to be held and organized by any group of young people who show interest. Youth/Student - initiated projects submitted to GYAN or Youth in Action will be entitled to $1,000 awards given to projects that fulfill community needs and create a positive impact.
Any interested youth/students should contact their community's/school's young leaders, community service centers, parents, and faculty (minimum of 7) to create a core Summit Action Team. This group must select an appropriate date and location to hold this summit, recruit delegates (300 youth delegate maximum recommended) to attend, and facilitate the event. Once a site and date are secured, please contact GYAN Headquaters.
