Here we present some details about our organization and the people behind it.

John Michael Balonze

France National Coordinator - John has recently collaborated with youth from thirty three countries in drafting a working paper at the United Nations in Geneva on Partnerships for Peace, and has worked with NGOs in Senegal on public health and environmental initiatives. He hopes that the future of GYAN-France will be in building partnerships for peace and democracy throughout Europe.

Nelline Zilberg

Director of Programs - At GYAN, Nelline oversees several programs, including a Youth Participation Initiative. She has worked towards building partnerships with youth organizations in Eastern Europe, including Russia. She is fluent in English, Russian, and Italian, and is proficient in French and Spanish. Nelline is currently completing the Masters de Sciences Po in international organizations.

Keyvan Sayar

Communications Coordinator - As former Secretary-General of Animafac, a network of French student associations, Keyvan worked to bring an international dimension to this national office. Today, Keyvan is president and founder of LeS dOiGtS bLeUs, an artistic and cultural association, and has also been a film director, artist, and poet, who has been featured on television programs and has interviewed various Parlaimentarians and other political figures in France.

Franziska Seel

UNESCO Liasion - Franziska has been active in many different youth organisations, and decided to support the GYAN France team during her time in Paris. Most recently she was involved with the German youth organisation “YOIS – Youth for intergenerational justice and sustainability”. Her main task was to coordinate the German National Youth Information Society Campaign, whose outcomes she presented as an active member of the WSIS Youth Caucus at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in December 2003 in Geneva. She also started promoting GYANs Global Youth Service Day in Germany and was delegate of the German National Youth Council to the World Youth Summit in Dakar, Senegal 2001.
