| Join the National Coordinating
Committee
Are you interested in joining GYAN's National
Coordinating Team (NCT), the core group at the center of running
the organization? In this section, please find information on responsibilities
of the group, positions open, and how to apply. The NCT is made
up of individuals that will work collaboratively as a team promoting
the youth movement and youth related issues in France. It is the
NCT’s responsibility to recruit and research the different organizations
in the country, and promote ways for the youth voice to be heard.
UN Liasion
This person will be accountable with regard to
UN affairs and issues, be up to date on UN current events, and have
a comprehensive understanding of the UN structure. This person will
be well-connected to the UN possible through the UN agencies- i.e.
UNESCO, ECOSOC, UNICEF, Development Program, etc., France's permanent
mission, national UN office, knows UN structure and bodies. This
person will also establish relations with UN representatives for
France.
National Government Liaison
This person will be responsible for knowing the
structure and operations of the French national government, a working
understanding of how and when officials are elected, and how to
become involved in legislature. In addition, the individual should
be well-connected to the local and national government, possibly
have connections to political parties, campaigns, and local community
organizations.
Liaison to the European Union
This individual should have working knowledge
of the structure and functions of the European Union, with respect
to France's policies, issues, and agendas. This individual should
be well connected to the European government, and have connections
with major European bodies.
National Financial Advisor
This individual will be responsible for the maintenance
of correspondence with regard to all financial matters. Responsibilities
include creating a monthly report detailing expenditures and all
other fiscal matters (i.e. obtaining funding, and status of grant
proposals).

Become an intern or volunteer
GYAN can always use help from volunteers in building
its office and realizing its mission. Following are some of the
activities for which GYAN seeks help from interns and volunteers:
1. Reaching out to youth groups to join GYAN-France's database,
a vital networking source.
2. Contacting partners for many of GYAN-France's projects, including
the Youth Participation Initiative, the Publication Project, and
Global Youth Service Day.
3. Administrative and web support.
4. Contacting media representatives for coverage on GYAN's projects.

Write a Letter or Sign a Petition
Join your National or City Youth Council, and
if one does not exist, create one!
Write a letter to your national Ministry of Foreign Affairs urging
them to include youth delegates to the United Nations General Assembly
(Example).
